SaSo4 | The Embodied Voice Feldenkrais-StudentInnen und -LehrerInnen (in englischer Sprache) Francesca White
In this workshop we will be looking at ways of employing ATM’s and FI’s which help to improve the use and understanding of the human voice. Special attention will be placed on finding relationships between the sternum, clavicles, the head, neck and jaw as well as learning about some of the most common challenges faced by singers and actors: finding enough breath easily and differentiating between tongue root and larynx.
Francesca White graduated in 1991 from Melbourne’s first Feldenkrais Training program, whose educational director was Frank Wildman, Ph.D. Her background was in psychology, psychodrama and Yoga teaching, and she has been involved with teaching ATM to students of the performing arts at various universities since 1990. Currently she runs a private practice in Melbourne, Australia, where most of her clients are opera students and singers. She teaches Feldenkrais advanced training programs in Europe and North and South America, with special focus on how Feldenkrais can inform the voice, and finding support from the pelvic floor.
